Entry for December 11, 2007 ![]() These two rowboats appealed to me as a small painting, emphasizing smooth washes (water) and rough painted wood (watercolor pencil). Nothing very fancy but a great pleasure to paint. I hope you enjoy the result!
No definite title yet but my mood while working has been one of sadness, thinking of the deaths of two middle-aged crab fishermen of Princeton Harbor, CA, whose fishing vessel was broken up by heavy seas last week. So maybe these two rowboats do represent each of those individuals who (as so many times before) risked everything to bring in their catch and--this time--lost. Carol 2007-12-11 23:50:04 GMT
