Entry for February 20, 2007 ![]() My inspiration is a one-in-a-million blue lobster caught in 2006, whose story I just read about this weekend online. Usually brown in color, this unique male blue lobster showed up in an Atlantic fishermen's pot to his great surprise. He was able to transport it safely to an aquarium eager to have this rare creature. Here he could be enjoyedby the public and well cared for.
I call my version "Berry, the Blue Lobster". I am still working with this painting idea and have already changed the background with Photoshop before posting it for you to see here. But I loved working with all the shades of blue and getting the textures and shadows clear for all the different parts of a lobster, an animal I have not before painted. Carol 2007-02-21 01:45:39 GMT
