Here is the painting from last time with a few more finishing touches. Trying to get a realistic color record of a watercolor in a photograph is very tricky. Here in the contrast between these two, you have a great example. There are several layers of color over most of the painting, and it's hard to decide which layer to emphasize. Another instance where a mechanical device fails to compete with the human eye. Our eyes are unique in sensitivity to these complexities.  I have also decided to call it, "Big man, big boat." There are some beautiful photographs online including the "Tabitha" in views of the harbor at Newport, taken by a professional photographer. You may discover these by surfing for the boat name and port, as I did.

I hope you like the painting!
