Entry for November 9, 2006 ![]() Fresh from the easel today: not even titled yet. I combined material from about three sources to create this quiet winter scene. A little different than my usual marine art since the water sits in a quiet lake, the sky is gray, snow is falling, and an eastern U.S. bird the cardinal sits on the boat.
My hope is it might make a pleasant Christmas card scene. With the light I had in my studio, the blues seemed darker than they do now. But after adding my snowflakes, that's irreversible. Perhaps I'll try again for a darker look. But everything else came out just about the way I had hoped--lucky me! Do you think it needs stronger contrast? 2006-11-09 22:30:37 GMT

Very nice artwork. Love the tranquil, quiet mood of this painting! Great composition!
