Entry for April 23, 2009 ![]() The economy affects artist's creativity sometimes! Mine has been very low for a while until I decided to return to the medium of pen and ink drawing, a secondary interest of mine for a long time. This drawing marks this new direction for me: it's the "Nancy" often found docked in Bodega Bay, CA. This small commercial fishing boat looks very well loved and tended, where I found it tied up beside the seafood restaurant and fish market. The seagulls actually seemed to be posing for me to get that right picturesque view! I took several photos when I visited last year, and here is my drawing based on the best of these. I plan to bring prints of this with me to my SalmonAid 2009 booth (June 20-21, Jack London Square, Oakland, CA) to sell. Perhaps there will be a few more boat pictures like it by then. Hope to see you there, Carol

Hi, Reader, I learned through a little web search that the owner of this fishing vessel is Tim Wallinger. Hope you like the art, Time!
