Hi, Now you see the vibrant color areas that go underneath on all my paintings, only in various patterns to create contrast with the dominant planes in the composition. By planes I mean the various orientations of objects in 3-D space. I think the underlying contrast, too subtle to be noticed usually, creates more energy and sense of light in my art.
