Welome to my studio blog! Sea Pearl was finished this morning, another painting in  low-key value and color like the last, Maritime Meet-Up. My new painting is also based on fishing boats at Crescent City, observed at dawn with a lifting fog. I am trying to recreate that luminous moment at the harbor, a great challenge because lights and darks seem so different than in bright sunshine. I hope you enjoy my new work, Carol
