Welcome! This is our chance to get to know one another better. I often wonder how to get more familiar with those who visit my website. Now I hope this new blog will be a way to meet you--and let you talk back to me! Here is a recent photo of me taken by an artist friend Greg Rapier, known to me first from the Art Scuttlebutt Forum and now a valued artist friend, who lives near Yosemite National Park.

Naturally I think a few limits will make this blog more enjoyable for everyone. No bad language or vicious attacks allowed here. The subject is "art in relation to life," pretty wide open. My art is an effort to record and interpret local fishing boats of northern California using the transparent watercolor medium in a luminist style. At times I work with other subjects like landscapes or flowers, but right now these boats are my main passion. Mountain View CA is my home, where I live with my spouse Robert, who is a software developer. Our city is about one hour south of San Francisco.

Let me hear from you, Carol
